MISSION

To provide financial support for directors or NGOs focusing on a films that shed light on specific issues.

To use the power of film to inform, raise awareness and understand major contemporary global questions, responding to the issues of today and tomorrow.

ONE PRIZE, ONE/TWO PATRON (S), ONE SOCIAL ISSUE

Each Prize Cinéma Vérité is associated with a patron or an organization.  The proceeds from the Prize are distributed from the moment when the minimum sum of 200.000 € is recovered.  Patron of the Prize determines each year’s winner.  At an official ceremony the winners will receive the financial prize, along with media support in partnership or collaboration with multiple international media outlets.

A single donation for one prize is a lifetime support:
100% of the amount of the donation is dedicated to each cause,
0% fees for the administration of the donation,
80% of proceeds from the donation go toward financing each year’s projects,
20% of proceeds go towards illuminating issues which compel the winners.

CONTINUOUS ACTION ON MANY ISSUES
Each prize leads to solid action as well as maintaining yearly media pressure around issues of importance.  It is the goal of the INSTITUT CINÉMA VÉRITÉ to create different awards representing a number of specific issues.

USING ALL FORMS OF MEDIA
Television, cinema, internet and mobile phones.  Reaching across a large range of formats—short and feature length, fiction, documentary, animated, and promotional films for NGOs.  It is necessary to encourage, through these prize, every mean possible in spreading the awareness to the largest number of people. 

ADVISORY BOARD
One person associated with each prize shall also be a designated member of the advisory.  Each year the members of this board will validate the principles determined by the funds.
